We are in the process of hiring for a part-time Junior Designer, qualified applicants please send resume and portfolio to info@studioseiders.com.

RequiredHours: 20-25 hours per week (Part-Time)

The Junior Designer’s primary role is to implement and execute the Principal Designer’s creative vision for each project. Under the Principal’s direction, they will be responsible for creating project mood boards, sourcing products and materials, communicating with vendors on custom pieces, presenting design ideas to the Principal, attending client meetings and site visits, preparing client presentations, and working closely with the Project Coordinator to complete projects efficiently.

Requirements Include:

  • Background (work experience or degree) in interior design

  • Extremely organized with acute attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable taking direction and ability to work well as a team

  • Have the confidence and ability to communicate your ideas clearly

  • Proficient in CAD, InDesign or Photoshop; hand drawing and Studio Webware a plus

  • Must have a mature, pleasant and professional presence and demeanor

  • Self-motivated and willing to learn

  • A great attitude!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Report directly to Principal Designer and Project Coordinator

  • Understand vision of Principal Designer and ability to communicate that through mood boards, sketches and renderings

  • Assist with research, sourcing products and pricing

  • Pulling samples, CFA’s and vendor follow through

  • Attend client meetings and site visits with Principal and manage follow up from these meetings

  • Draw custom furniture, cabinetry, and other design details under the direction of the Principal

  • Assist with creating of client presentations

  • Errands and general design assistance as needed
